The Kensington gazebo, a handcrafted timber gazebo with a gabled roof and privacy panels, on a tiled patio

Handcrafted wooden gazebos, built for your garden

A timber gazebo turns part of your garden into a proper outdoor room — somewhere to sit, dine, entertain or relax under cover, whatever the weather's doing. Made to order from quality treated timber, not flat-packed kits, and installed by our own team.

What is a timber gazebo?

A gazebo is a freestanding, roofed garden structure that gives you a sheltered space outdoors. Unlike a temporary pop-up, a proper timber gazebo is a permanent, solidly built feature — open or with sides, with a pitched or flat roof — designed to provide shade in summer and shelter from the rain, so you can use your garden far more of the year. Ours are handmade from treated timber and built to sit beautifully in your garden for years to come.

A gazebo built around how you'll use it

  • Hot tub gazebos — a sheltered, private home for your hot tub, with a reinforced base built to take the weight.
  • Dining & entertaining — an open-sided space to sit out and eat, rain or shine.
  • Privacy & shelter — add timber or PVC side panels for a fully enclosed, weatherproof room.

FAQs

Before you get in touch

Do I need planning permission for a gazebo?

Most gazebos fall under permitted development, depending on size, height and how close it sits to a boundary. We check this at your free site survey.

Open sides or fully enclosed?

Both. Every gazebo can be left open, fitted with privacy panels, or fully clad with PVC or timber sides — see our gazebos with sides for the enclosed options.

How long does a gazebo take to build?

Runs from consultation and design through groundwork, build and finishing. Timescale depends on size and complexity.

Can a gazebo go over a hot tub?

Yes — see our hot tub gazebos for structures built specifically around the weight and shape of a hot tub.

Can I come and see a building in person?

Yes — a selection of our most popular buildings and gazebos is on display at our factory showroom, open six days a week (closed Sundays). Viewings are by appointment, so we can walk you through the options in person.

Do you lay bases?

We work with a network of trusted contractors who can lay your base ahead of installation. Any work carried out by a contractor we introduce you to is their responsibility, not ours.

Does a tanalised building need treating?

Tanalised timber is pressure-treated to protect against rot, but it isn't fully waterproof until an oil or paint has been applied. Since timber is porous, we'd always recommend an additional preservative to help it stand up to the weather.

Will my building need any maintenance?

Timber is a natural material that moves with the seasons, so a little care goes a long way — we send an aftercare guide with every order. Expect to reapply paint or treatment occasionally, oil hinges and locks, keep overhanging branches trimmed back, and add guttering where you can. Some natural silvering is normal too, as UV exposure lightens the timber over time.
